Facade Development

The following pictures show the development of the facade. The entire building has a glass curtain wall. The distinction between the public and private part of the library lies in an additional layer on top of the glass curtain wall. The public part has wood beam elements, blocking of some direct sun light. The private part has a dense metal panel system, which allows sun light in but looks closed from the outside.

  2. i feel that the vertical mullions of the glass facade are competing with the random abstract brown lines.

  3. Puwana, there will be an outside area on the rooftop, which visitors can use to read. In addition, there will be a cafe on the top floor that leads onto the rooftop. So a hot cocoa is a possibility :-)

Eni, I agree, the mullions are a little too strong as shown on the rendering. I did not apply any materials yet, only some colors. The random abstract brown lines are the wood beams and will eventually cover the entire facade of the public part of the library. The renderings just show the progress. The last picture shows already more elements than the first.
